Prior to that, Tug-Blue Water was purchased after an official process of condition survey and professional inspections by experts. Shabwah Office was initiated, followed by the Aden Office beginning of 2020. Aden Office plays the main role in administrating the operations onboard and offshore. Blue Water Maritime Shipping Company owns the special attribute of being officially authorized to perform Maritime Management both for its vessels and for other external vessels as well. Job Description
The 3rd Engineer will be working under the direction of the Chief Engineer and 2nd Engineer. The 3rd Engineer is primarily responsible for the maintenance of generators, air compressors, purifiers and pumps aboard the ship. The 3rd Assistant Engineer is required to participate in all drills and emergencies and to assist with the enforcement of rules, procedures, regulations, and pollution prevention.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Working under the supervision of the 2nd Engineer and his superiors.
Maintaining generators routinely.
Maintaining air compressors routinely
Maintaining L.O. purifiers routinely
Working independently
Checking all pumps and machinery during rounds
Monitoring activities from the engine control room
Working 12 hours per day. You may not work more than 15 hours per day
Being on call 24 hours/day for all emergencies.
Requirements
At least one (1) year of experience as a 3rd Engineer or 24 months as 4th Engineer
1-2 years of experience on-board vessels.
Certificates
More than 3000 kw 3rd Engineer COC.
Valid Seaman’s Book & Passport for more than 6 months.
Medical Fitness certificate.
All Mandatory STCW Certificates.
